«I am not happy about the Todde case» .

During the press conference at the beginning of the year, Giorgia Meloni also intervened for the first time on the political earthquake that is shaking Sardinia , with the request for the removal of President Todde advanced by the electoral guarantee college.

"Todde has announced an appeal and I don't want to get into the merits," the prime minister begins, "but I'm not the type to rejoice if someone who wins the elections is then removed from office for bureaucratic or judicial reasons ."

Meloni is not happy, but she does not share the line of the center-left and the dismissal of Berlusconi from parliament after the conviction: "We will see what happens, the road is still long, but I read that the PD and M5S intend, in this case, not to validate the decision of the magistrates. It is a free choice of the parties, but I humbly allow myself to point out that when it was the case of Berlusconi's dismissal, it was said that the task of Parliament was to ratify the decision of the magistrates. These are the usual double standards to which we are accustomed ".

And again: «I don't know the merits of the matter very well, I prefer not to get involved but unlike others I don't rejoice over these events», he concludes, also recalling when the PDL list in the Lazio regional elections was not entirely admitted «due to a ten-minute delay» .
