The honor was awarded to Pasquale Casula , truck driver , Giovanni Battista Idda , master builder, Pietro Ruggiu and Gavino Vacca , barbers and hairdressers, Costanzo Salis , expert in ecological construction, and Sebastiano Seddaiu , builder and sculptor. The six artisans from Sassari received the national “Maestri d'Opera e d'Esperienza” award promoted by ANAP Confartigianato, the Association of the Elderly and Pensioners , for having contributed, with commitment, professionalism, dedication, competence and passion, to the growth and development of craftsmanship in the capital and in the province, also managing to transmit knowledge and values.

The award has been presented by the President of Confartigianato Sassari, Marco Rau, and the vice, Maria Amelia Lai, on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the constitution of the Sassari Artisan Organization.

The initiative, which attracted over one hundred participants to pay homage to the protagonists, was opened by the speech of the re-elected President of Confartigianato Sassari who retraced the history of the Artisan Association which over the course of 80 years has always been a point of reference for both businesses and citizens of the entire province.

Then the final thanks from all the delegates of Confartigianato Sassari : “Thank you for having transformed your work into art, having kept alive the knowledge of the past and having passed it on to the new generations with the same love and dedication with which you learned it. With the invitation to continue the extraordinary path you have taken up to today to be a beacon of excellence and passion in your profession”.
