The last two-voice show dates back to 2017: it was a riot of applause, laughter, and affection from the Sardinian audience.

Massimo Lopez and Tullio Solenghi, eight years after that extraordinary success, return together to the island for a highly anticipated event.

The play “Dove eravamo resti” will be a journey under the lights of the variety show, written in collaboration with Giorgio Cappozzo, and performed by the two stars of the unforgettable trio with Anna Marchesini, accompanied by the Jazz Company directed by maestro Gabriele Comeglio,

An International Music and Arts production on the bill on Thursday 8th January at 8.30pm at the Teatro Comunale in Sassari, for the second event of the Season of La Grande Prosa & Danza organised by CeDAC Sardegna, after the triumph of “Iliad / The Game of the Gods” with Alessio Boni and Antonella Attili, and the following days, Friday 9th January at 8.30pm and Saturday 10th January, at 7.30pm at the Teatro Massimo in Cagliari for the Pezzi Unici series, again organised by the association chaired by Antonio Cabiddu and directed by Valeria Ciabattoni.

"Where We Were Left" is an anthology of short, hilarious pieces in the style of the famous duo, combining surreal comedy with clever "provocations": an opportunity to engage and dialogue with the audience, in a lively portrait of society that offers food for thought on the present and the future, privileging irony and light-heartedness.

A brilliant and engaging show, to (smile) and think.

"The most exhilarating feeling of our latest show, the Massimo Lopez and Tullio Solenghi Show, was having before us every evening not just an empathetic and festive audience, but a sort of extended family, actual relatives who shared moments of our stage adventure with fragments of their lives," the two artists explain. "That's why we wanted to start right here," to use a phrase that has gone down in television history.

"This new show of ours will feature routines, sketches, musical pieces, and video contributions, with some comic highlights like a lecture by Sgarbi and Lopez, an affectionate tribute to vaudeville, and the Mattarella/Pope Bergoglio confrontation, all incorporated into our tried-and-tested show format," Solenghi and Lopez explain. "The underlying theme will be a chat between friends, the aforementioned extended family, connecting the various moments of the show. Maestro Gabriele Comeglio's band will once again be with us on stage, providing essential support for the musical backdrop. The aim is to once again amaze and thrill those wonderful "relatives" sitting down in the audience."
