"Toys" flies high, and basically it could not be otherwise. Because the short film by the director of Carbonia Massimiliano Nocco, 52 years old, who is also an actor and author, is a small treasure that continues to obtain acclaim and recognition. The latest is the participation in the seventy-sixth edition of the Salerno International Film Festival where it will be screened on Thursday 1 December in front of a jury who will then decide the winner among all the participants.

«I am very happy to have been selected for this important festival - says Nocco - also because it is the longest-running Italian festival after the one in Venice. There will be not only a prize awarded by the jury but also by the public who will have the possibility to vote online».

"Giocattoli" is " 60 per cent an autobiography ". The story of a child who lives in the countryside of Perdaxius and since he has no toys he tries to build them himself, and so he creates a boat with the motor of the cassette player. And in the part of the boy there is Nocco's nephew, Enrico Bentera, just as he drew from his large family (the director has twelve brothers and sisters) for the role of the little girl, with his niece Adele Bentera. «Obviously everyone in the family is the type for me – he adds -. My sister has a tobacconist's shop in Perdaxius and she boasts when her brother gets in the newspaper.'

So everyone cheers on Massimiliano in this work produced by Rosario Iuculano . Response on Saturday.
