Music and literature will be the protagonists of the new appointment of the cultural season organized by the Municipality of Orosei led by the mayor Elisa Farris.

Exceptional protagonists tomorrow, Friday 2 June , at 7.30 pm in the garden of "Sa finance vetza" and on the occasion of the Republic Day, the singer-songwriter Ambra Pintore , well-known face of Videolina, and the journalist Maria Francesca Chiappe , writer and journalist of the Sardinian Union.

The event, organized in collaboration with the Municipal Library and the Voltapagina Bookshop, will host the presentation of the latest work by Maria Francesca Chiappe entitled "Ostaggio" , published by Castelvecchi, within the project by Ambra Pintore "Di Arte in arte ”, a format whose purpose is to stage artistic dialogues with a theatrical and musical system. "It will be a multi-voiced dialogue - explains Mayor Elisa Fais - between two authoritative representatives of the Sardinian cultural scene".

To embellish the interweaving of melodies and readings proposed by Ambra Pintore, the musical incursions of Federico Valenti on guitar and Roberto Scala on accordion .

Guests of the evening were the Urisé women's choir from Orosei, directed by Maestra Daniela Contu, and the young virtuoso accordion player Giacomo Vardeu, protagonist on prestigious stages thanks to his extraordinary technical skill and interpretative maturity.

Words and music that had already seen a fruitful collaboration of the artists and the author last September on the occasion of the presentation of the first noir by Maria Francesca Chiappe "Non è lei" during the Modolo Festival.

The issues of profound civil importance, such as those concerning violence and gender language return in this second work which also addresses a new theme: the loneliness of the elderly .

Hostage is set mainly in Cagliari in the second spring of the pandemic: Sardinia is the only region in the white zone but the grip of the anti-Covid restrictions does not ease.

In Cagliari, a woman disappears from her home in Poetto: the car is in the courtyard, the doors are found open, the key still in the ignition, her five-year-old daughter cries desperately in the garden.

The anti-kidnapping plan takes off: the husband is a wealthy professional who lives between Cagliari and Milan.

A millionaire ransom note arrives: the head of the flying squad Fernando Corallo investigates while the journalist Annalisa Medda goads him with her infamous investigations for local TV until a body is found in Cala Fighera, the nudist beach.

Maria Francesca Chiappe builds a perfect clockwork mechanism and, with punctual and accurate writing, leads us into a thriller in which nothing can be taken for granted and the balance can jump at any moment.
