“Marecalmo”, in Porto Torres concert for piano and bandoneon

Composition and improvisation, two instruments that dialogue and blend perfectly, also because Daniele Di Bonaventura plays the bandoneon but has a piano training and therefore knows perfectly the world of 88 keys on which Giovanni Ceccarelli acts. Artists of international level, arrive on Saturday in Porto Torres on the stage of the Municipal Theater (9 pm) for a concert that bears the title of their project "Marecalmo".

A repertoire of original compositions and arrangements capable of building a dialogue between the two different instruments, a splendid synthesis between sound universes that blend the spirit of tango and the characteristics of improvised music . Suggestive melodies and pressing metrics where the jazz matrix is present.

The encounter between the two instruments allows you to play on the multiple expressive possibilities, through singing , percussion , counterpoint, choral and pure sound: the bandoneon and the piano embrace each other, creating subtle nuances and multiple expressive pieces. Pieces composed and filtered by the different sensibilities of the two performers, in balance between virtuosic solos and moments of happy interplay.

The concert is part of the rich calendar of “Musicando per la città” events, events scheduled for the thirtieth anniversary of the Associazione Musicando Insieme in Porto Torres, curated by the artistic director Donatella Parodi , for the concert season which will end on May 28th.
