The 2024 Lawrence Prize for journalism was awarded to Pietro Senaldi, in the church of Sant'Antonio a Mandas. The co-director of Libero – commentator on various television programs broadcast on Rai, Mediaset, La7 and Sky – participated in the center of Alta Trexenta at the closing evening of the sixteenth Lawrence Travel Literature Festival, this year dedicated to roots and identity.

The event has now become a fundamental stop for culture and literature enthusiasts, for several years its goal – always right on target – has been to promote slow tourism on the tracks of time and history. Senaldi received the award from the president of the Consorzio della Costa Smeralda, Renzo Persico.

The DH Lawrence International Travel Literature Festival takes place every year in the former convent of San Francesco a Mandas and is dedicated to the famous English writer who lived between the 19th and 20th centuries and who was also a poet, essayist and painter. David Herbert Lawrence, author of the famous novel “Lady Chatterley’s Lover”, described his journey to the Island aboard the Little Green Train in his book “Sea and Sardinia” in 1921: after so much time, his memory is celebrated in the country of the Duchy with a cultural festival in which emerging and established authors of the international literary scene participate every year.
