The expenses for the official trip to Argentina ? "They will be made public soon; the invoices and receipts have been submitted to the State Accounting Office, which will publish them."

Business class travel? It's almost a must; all councilors do it for journeys longer than six hours .

In a video on her Facebook profile, Desirèe Manca responds to the controversy surrounding her trip to Argentina: "The largest Sardinian federation is located there, and it's almost obligatory to go for the appointment of the new board of directors, given that I'm also the Emigration Councilor."

"No crazy spending with taxpayers' money," defends Todde, who details some of the expenses incurred. "For six days, I spent €130.10 on food and €740 on accommodations in Buenos Aires and La Plata."

On the trip: "I spent €4,600-€4,700 for a round trip, in business class because all councilors travel in business class for trips lasting more than six hours. I did 14 hours, and upon arrival I had appointments at the consulate and with the ambassador."

"I slept, traveled, ate, and worked a lot . I didn't spend anything else—no clothes, jewelry, or beauty treatments, as some say," Manca specifies, reiterating that all invoices will soon be published by the Accounting Office.

Manca's trip to Argentina had come under scrutiny from Northern League councilor Alessandro Sorgia : "Given how he has cried out in the past, I would have expected a more careful and moderate institutional profile: the Five Star Movement entered the institutions to open them like a can of tuna, but perhaps the intention was to eat it," he said, announcing a request for access to the documents to find out the exact costs.
