After becoming the regional champion of sport dance in her category in April, the thirteen-year-old student from Macomer, Giada Demurtas, won the prestigious title in Naples on July 1, in the Italian Under 14 Latin American dance championship. Giada took first place in the combined L4, with the dances Cha Cha Cha, Samba, Rumba and Jive, but also second place in the Paso Doble. Champion and also vice-champion.
Trained by maestro Sandro Murru of Macomer Dance, as well as by Fabio Obino and Elena Melis of the Ads Amelie dance school in Terralba, for the thirteen-year-old it is a big step forward, becoming the pride of the capital town of Marghine, but also of Sardinia . In May Giada Demurtas also took part in the historic English competition Blackpool Dance Festival, which was held in Blackpool, England, reaching the semifinals and winning a final among the top seven athletes in the world.
