An Easter egg with a happy surprise for the workers of Tossilo Spa, who have been without salary for four months, who this morning staged a demonstration in front of the government building in Nuoro, where a meeting convened by the Prefect was underway.

In fact, Tossilo Spa, through the president, Antonio Delitala, has guaranteed that within this week the workers will be paid at least one month's salary, as an advance of the sums due (4 months), which will instead be liquidated in another intervention, thanks to a sum made available by the Region for over one million euros, to pay past and future salaries, and therefore finance the development of the composting plant.

This is what emerged from the meeting convened by the Prefect of Nuoro, Giancarlo Dionisi. The meeting was attended by the heads of cabinet of the environment and labor departments, the representatives of CGIL, CISL and UIL, the mayors of Macomer and Borore, the president of the Union of Municipalities of Marghine, the commissioner of the Industrial Consortium in liquidation and the president of Tossilo Spa. During the meeting, the need to start up the composting plant in a short time was reaffirmed, necessary to allow Tossilo Spa to forfeit new economic income, for the payment of salaries and debts past. The outcome of the meeting partially satisfies the workers, the unions, but also the institutional representatives of the territory.

"We proceed confidently, but we are vigilant - says the mayor of Macomer Antonio Succu - convinced that the Prefect's commitment is a guarantee for everyone".
