This year too "Tamuli... in the Night of San Lorenzo" is being staged. An event now in its 14th edition, conceived by the Esedra cooperative to enhance and promote the archaeological areas, musical traditions and typical products of the area, which is organized under the patronage of the Municipality of Macomer.

Everything will take place in the archaeological area of Tamuli, one of the most important sites on the island, which preserves, a short distance from each other, the places of life and those of death of the ancient Nuragic community, on the offshoots of Mount Sant 'Antonio, with the nuraghe, the village, the giants' tombs and the betils.

The evening will start around 8pm, with the performance of ethnic masks, with the Boes and Merdules Bezzos of Ottana who, when the sun goes down, will dance and stage their rituals among the bectiles and at the giants' tombs. This will be followed by the theatrical performance "Canto alle stelle", curated by the Il Crogiuolo theater company, with the accompaniment of the voices of the traditional singing of Su Cuncordu Macumeresu. Cordas and Cannas will also take part in a musical journey through the cultural roots of the island's traditional music, updated by harmonious sound inlays taken from other cultures and musical genres.

The Nuorese Astronomical Association will guide everyone in observing the sky, among the stars and constellations. For the whole day of August 10th, organized by the Gigantes association, there will also be a temporary exhibition, Norax and Janos, the Giant Guardians, with two stylized statues, 4 meters high, representing myth and legend in a now lost civilization.
