The 5 Star Movement in total chaos. The Court of Naples has in fact suspended the new statute and the election of Giuseppe Conte to the presidency. And the same M5S announced that the resolutions will be revised shortly.

What is taking place within the force that expresses the most conspicuous parliamentary representation (157 deputies and 73 senators) is a real war for the leadership, which sees the former prime minister and the foreign minister Luigi Di Maio oppose themselves. , with their respective loyalists.

A crisis that began during the voting for the Quirinale which led to the re-election of Sergio Mattarella and which is worsening with each passing day, with the specter of an ever-wavering split.

For his part, Conte explained: "My leadership does not depend on stamped papers, we will respond with a bath of democracy". On the "rival" Di Maio, the former prime minister himself instead points: "A true leadership has never fear of confrontation but in the face of such a plastic attack you cannot ignore it ".

And again: “Before Di Maio went to the streets to support our battles, today to exhibit a current and attack the leadership. I heard him on the phone and he told me he is eager to express ideas and projects. The Movement always comes before people. It is not in the horizon of things that Di Maio is expelled, but it is obvious that he - who is the former leader - has more responsibilities ”.

In this situation, everything goes back into the hands of Beppe Grillo, guarantor of the Movement, called to mediate and call new votes among the members, to identify a collegial guide in place of the fallen president and political leader Conte. A last, perhaps desperate, attempt to safeguard the unity of his political creature.

Grillo himself defined the situation as "complicated". But "the sentences are respected," he added. "Right now you can't make rash decisions," he also wrote on his social channels. "I will also promote a moment of discussion with Giuseppe Conte. In the meantime, I invite everyone to remain silent and not to take risky initiatives before there is a sharing on the path to follow".
