Zito Luvumbo scored his first goal of the season. The Cagliari striker scored this afternoon in Angola's 3-2 friendly victory over Zambia. This is his first goal since March 30th, in the 3-0 win over Monza , and it's also his first for the senior national team, making his twenty-seventh appearance.
Luvumbo scored in the 40th minute, with the score tied at 1-1. Following a cross from the left, he controlled the ball on the edge of the box and, after disorienting his direct marker with a feint, fired in from 16 meters, which was also deflection-deviated . His shot hit the crossbar and then went in, much to the delight of him, his teammates, and the many fans in attendance, four days after the friendly against Argentina that had packed the stands at the Luanda stadium.
In addition to Luvumbo, Semih Kılıçsoy also played and won among the Cagliari internationals this afternoon. The striker played 84 minutes for Turkey's Under-21 team in the 2-1 win in Lithuania. He was booked in the first half (40') following a foul on Šluta.
