Lundini, Consoli and Bernal: a trio of aces for the new course of the Teatro Massimo
Three days of great events including theater, music and dance
The Teatro Massimo inaugurates its new course with a trio of shows that attract the general public, always sensitive and attentive especially after the long period of pandemic that forced the halls to reduced capacities and very restrictive health measures until last September.
For some months, with 100% of the seats available, Sardinian enthusiasts never find themselves unprepared in front of interesting posters and with prominent artists particularly recognizable even to non-experts.
The Cedac of Antonio Cabiddu and Jazz in Sardinia, with the historical leader Massimo Palmas, who together will give life to the new programming of one of the most important theaters on the island, have decided to go big to open 2022 by choosing a winning combination : the very high cultural quality of the artistic proposal and the exceptional notoriety of the protagonists.
It starts tomorrow Tuesday 4 January at 8.30 pm with the show of the Roman comic actor and TV presenter Valerio Lundini "The mansplaining explained to my daughter", an original and hilarious One-Man-Show on the bill for the new review "Single Pieces" conceived by artistic director of the Cedac Valeria Ciabattoni.
For some time on the crest of the wave for his creativity over the top, Lundini has definitively conquered the public thanks to the successful Rai2 program "Una pezza di Lundini", a brilliant container of new and intelligent comedy that pushes the viewer to reflect and focus on jokes, involving him in an area of refined irony that is gaining ever-growing interest and becoming viral.
In fact, his theatrical tour is a sold out puzzle that rewards the inventiveness of a dynamic personality capable of always creating new paradoxes and nonsense that play with political correctness as if its undeterred violation were natural.
Space for music on 6 and 7 January always at 8.30 pm with the amazing voice of Carmen Consoli, who will take her tour to Sardinia after three years of absence from the island scene.
With the release of her latest recording masterpiece, "Volevo Fare la Rockstar" of the same name of the tour, we have only one certainty: the Sicilian singer-songwriter will, as always, be able to bring out the emotions contained in the deepest corner of each person from the soul, overwhelming the audience with the unique sound of his voice and his guitars.
The exceptional triptych ends on 8th (at 8.30pm) and 9th January (afternoon performance at 6.30pm) with dance and a great protagonist of world ballet.
The absolute star will be the beloved Spanish etoile Sergio Bernal Alonso who will perform for the dance program of the multidisciplinary show circuit, staging his latest show produced by Daniele Cipriani, one of the dominus of Italian ballet at an international level.
A Night With Sergio Bernal is a show that releases what Federico Garcia Lorca called "duende", a bewitching charm sometimes tinged with sadness and restlessness.
The talent and charisma of the great dancer are highlighted by a choreography that marries traditional Spanish dance, with its bolero and flamenco rhythms and ardent sounds of the "jota" and "sevillana", with a neoclassical repertoire in which virtuosity and lyricism reach dizzying levels.
Together with his company, Bernal will propose a show of great emotional impact and extraordinary scenic effect, thanks to the virtuosity of the technical choices that the public will be able to admire, divided into an anthology of choreographies inspired by the Iberian tradition and the gypsy spirit as well as refined creations "classic" and contemporary between dizzying solos, pas de deux and pas de trois.
