Luciano Spalletti is the new coach of the Italian national football team.

The definitive agreement between the Tuscan coach – fresh from winning the Scudetto with Napoli – and the president of the Federcalcio, Gabriele Gravina, has just been reached.

Spalletti fills the void left by the sudden resignation of Roberto Mancini, which arrived close to mid-August.

The contract will last until 2026. With the Tuscan coach also the assistant Marco Domenichini, the assistant Daniele Baldini and the athletic trainer Francesco Sinatti.

The official communication from the FIGC arrived in the evening.
