The flag of the Quattro Mori flies on the Imola tatami. The last Sunday brought great satisfaction to the entire Karate movement in Sardinia: in the Emilian city, Luca Matta from Quartise won the prestigious national championship of the Japan Karate Association Senior Kumite.
This is a historic result for his Dojo, the renowned Kanazawa Karate Club of Quartu Sant'Elena, a sports club led by Masters Alberto Piludu and Alberto Fogu which had recently been included in the list of Coni Meritorious Clubs for 2022 with the Bronze Star.
The Kanazawa Karate Club is now preparing to celebrate the return of the national champion of the JKA, the mother organization of Karate with institutional recognition that comes directly from Japan.
The one achieved by Matta is not the only significant result brought home by island athletes: the third places obtained by Dario Murgia in the kata junior black belt category and by Eleonora Perra in both the kata and kumite for the belts were also shining colourful.
