Even the artisan fashion companies of Sardinia will be able to take advantage of the 5 million non-repayable funds that the Ministry of Development has made available to the sector.

The incentive is aimed at broad-spectrum textiles, fashion and accessories and aims to encourage investment projects to be carried out by companies in the sector in the factories present on the national territory.

Support can be requested as early as yesterday through the Mise platform.

It facilitates projects that favor the innovation of production processes through the purchase and installation of new machinery, computer programs and software licenses, as well as the creation and use of innovative fabrics also deriving from renewable sources and from the recycling of used materials .

The contribution will also support business investments in design and patent protection, but also in the training of workers.

The non-repayable fund will be granted to the beneficiary companies to the extent of 50% of the costs incurred and eligible, which must be a total of not less than 50 thousand euros and not more than 200 thousand euros.

According to the report prepared by the Research Department of Confartigianato Imprese Sardegna on Istat 2020 data, entitled "Businesses and craftsmanship of Fashion in Sardinia", fashion in Sardinia recorded 336 activities with 273 artisan realities; the latter offered work to 547 employees.

In the territorial distribution, 104 realities, of which 84 artisans, operate in the north of the island, in the territory of Sassari-Gallura.

In the province of Cagliari there are 96 activities, 76 artisans; Nuoro follows with 61, of which 49 are artisans, South Sardinia with 40, of which 32 are artisans. Oristano closes with 35 realities of which 32 are artisans.

The territorial fashion system is represented by a vast network of small artisans, who from design to cut create unique garments.

For the president of Confartigianato Imprese Sardegna, Maria Amelia Lai "the path for the relaunch of the sector is the right one, that is, it is necessary to pursue the strengthening of professional training and education, the consolidation and streamlining of the tax credit procedures for collections, revaluation of the domestic market with greater attention to retail distribution ".

“In any case, a work of continuous development is necessary - continues President Lai - to make companies grow, to propose new lines and innovative products to present themselves at exhibitions and to foreign buyers. Naturally, the role of public institutions that carry out activities aimed at the internationalization of Italian companies is fundamental ”.

“Our Tempo association works to encourage the exports of small and medium-sized enterprises - concludes the president - by creating opportunities for meetings inside and outside Italy to bring companies together with buyers in incoming exports in Sardinia but also in missions abroad. We therefore believe that interventions are also necessary for fashion so that the sector can continue a virtuous path that will bring Sardinian excellence to be known and sold all over the world ".
