The medieval village of Lollove, 15 kilometers from Nuoro of which it is a fraction, is a candidate to join the elite of the "most beautiful villages in Italy".

Ancient rural settlement whose inhabitants can be counted on the fingers of the hands, according to the administration it has all the characteristics to be included among the places to be promoted and enhanced.

"Lollove - reads the resolution - looks like a characteristic medieval village built together with other villages in the valleys of Rio Sologo and Rio Cedrino (then Su Rivu Mannu); it preserves the medieval structure and the ancient forms of the ancient Sardinian rural villages. from small houses made of stone and earth as a binder. Among the abandoned ruins and the few inhabited houses stands the seventeenth-century church of the Maddalena, in late Gothic style ".

Lollove is a place “in which we are investing and on which we aim to ensure the economic, social and cultural development of the city, the promotion of our history and our environment is a cornerstone of our mandate”, says Mayor Andrea Soddu.

“We must safeguard this little jewel rich in history, traditions and culture - adds Valeria Romagna, Councilor for Landscape, Monte Ortobene and Quality of life -. Being able to visit a village that retains all its ancient characteristics a few kilometers from the capital city is unique in Sardinia. We believe that he possesses the requisites to become part of the association ".
