Local Health Authority commissioners rejected by the Constitutional Court, the center-right united: "Todde should acknowledge his failure."
The opposition has been extremely vocal following the Constitutional Court's ruling on healthcare: calls for the president's resignation. "And be careful with new appointments: there's a high risk of financial damage."Video di Stefano Fioretti
Sardinia's healthcare system is in chaos. After the Constitutional Court struck down the Sardinian law on local health authority commissioners , the opposition in the Regional Council is attacking Governor Alessandra Todde, who is also acting health councilor.
"Todde should acknowledge his failure," was the torpedo launched by the center-right on Christmas Eve. During a press conference, it was also recalled that the Democratic Party had distanced itself from the commissioners, deserting the April 27th council meeting convened for the nominations and withdrawing its delegation of councilors.
The opposition, through the vice president of the Health Commission, Alice Aroni , and Stefano Schirru (Alleanza Sardegna), once again reiterated the risk of worsening financial losses should the president proceed with appointing new general managers.
"In a normal world," claims Paolo Truzzu, leader of the Brothers of Italy party, "anyone would resign and give the floor back to the voters."
The center-right has listed the laws passed, challenged, and deemed unconstitutional: "We wonder what else must happen for the failure to be acknowledged," argues Umberto Ticca of the Reformers.
