Restrictions have been in place for agriculture for some time, but now there are also great concerns for the inhabited areas and for the next tourist season. After the latest rains, the level in the Maccheronis reservoir has risen, but just over 10 million cubic meters do not allow for peace of mind. Restrictions confirmed for the world of the countryside, where water is used only for animals, while at the summit held in Torpè, between local administrators and the Central Sardinia Reclamation Consortium, it was decided to prepare ordinances with some prohibitions (watering gardens, washing cars, etc.). The aim is to save resources while waiting for the rains to positively change a situation that is decidedly worrying today.

In an area with a strong tourist vocation, from San Teodoro to Siniscola, passing through Budoni, Posada and Torpè, planning the season with the unknown drinking water will not be easy. Mayors and councilors also criticized Abbanoa for its failure to intervene on the many leaks in the water network. In Posada alone, according to the administrators, at least 4 million cubic meters are lost in the sieve pipes every year.
