Linus and the argument with Claudio Cecchetto: «He never missed an opportunity to denigrate me»

The long-distance battle between Linus and Claudio Cecchetto continues.
Today it's the turn of the DJ and radio host (as well as artistic director of Radio Deejay) who, in a letter to Corriere, explains why he called the famous talent scout who, among other things, founded Radio Deejay in 1982 and then leave it in the nineties.
«I worked with him for ten years, he was the boss, I was a kid – recalls Linus -. I owe all my success to him, and I have written and declared it on every occasion. Check out every book I've written and every interview I've had with me. But kids grow up and bosses get old, that's life, and often it doesn't depend on age."
So the reconstruction: «In '94, when he decided to blackmail the group to which he had sold the radio four years earlier ("give it back to me or I'll leave" he said; "ok, leave" they replied) I was a nobody. Only after its exit did the Group, which knew less than zero about radio, ask Albertino (who was the balance at the time) to carry on the radio and asked me to give it a hand . I accepted, very recklessly, and the rest is history."
Cecchetto, according to him, "never missed an opportunity to denigrate me" . «Of course, we were never nice to each other – he continues - Of course, I understand the frustration of having seen the radio station that he founded and then threw away not only not sink but continue to travel at full speed. For thirty years then! It must be terrible! But, I ask myself, is it my fault?".
Linus then turns to Jody Cecchetto, who made a video to defend his father ("he doesn't seem like a fool to me at all", said Jody) : "And we come to the stone of the scandal, the "fool": dear Jody, in video you published you can hear me making fun of the flop of the program and Nicola calling me an idiot. And I reply "no, that's stupid". In your opinion, how should I define someone who makes a celebratory episode about "our years" and with painstaking and scientifically petty care avoids even mentioning me for the whole time? That was enough, but the suckers weren't able to understand it. With unchanged esteem, as a friend of mine said."
The diatribe arose after Linus defined "People from Cecchetto", the docufilm on Claudio Cecchetto's career which aired on 20 December on Rai1, as "uninteresting" in the program "Deejay calls Italy", hosted with Nicola Savino .
