Born in Gorizia, in Sassari since she was twenty, citizen of the world (she stayed in various nations) but at home in Oliena where today many of her works are preserved. So on the centenary of her birth the town under the Corrasi dedicates to Liliana Cano a museum spread out in the historic center.

The presentation next Friday, at 10, with a conference at the Municipal Library. The initiative was born thanks to the collaboration between the municipal administration, the Liliana Cano Archive and the Tourist Presidium ''Galaveras''. It is the recognition of the special bond between the artist and the Barbagia town. The route will pass through historical, cultural and religious places of the town, where the artist's works have long been placed and others will be placed.

For Bastiano Congiu, mayor of Oliena, «the Diffused Museum is the culmination of the path of recognition of the great art of Liliano Cano, who was able to tell with great sensitivity the history and traditions of our land and who had a special bond with Oliena».

Also participating in Friday's conference will be the President of the Region Alessandra Todde, the Councilor for Culture Ilaria Portas, Igino Panzino and Davide Mariani, President and Artistic Director of the Liliana Cano Archive, Monica Scano and Carla Pacchiano, President of the Region and of the Nuoro section of the Italian Environmental Fund.
