“Like Romeo and Juliet”, away from Sassari to film Nuzzo's new film

In a world where normal loves seem to be so fragile, a special one is needed to overcome any obstacle.

First takes in Sassari for the film “ Come Romeo and Juliet ” by Giuseppe Alessio Nuzzo (“Le veri”, “Quel posto nel tempo”) with Mariasole Pollio (“Se son rose”, “Don Matteo”) and Mauro Racanati (“ Like a cat on the ring road”, “The Lions of Sicily”).

Federica and Riccardo are two boys as different as they are special. All they have in common is a frantic love of life and a one-of-a-kind secret. They know each other, love each other and lose each other, just like the two protagonists of Shakespeare's novel , living in a bubble of love , constantly tested by external forces that try in every way to undermine it.

Produced by Eduardo Angeloni for Antracine Film Industry and by Paradise Pictures, with the support of the Campania Region, the Campania Region Film Commission, the Sardinia Region, and the Sardinia Region Film Commission, filming will take place over 4 weeks in Sardinia (Sassari, Porto Torres and Sorso) and Campania (Naples and Salerno).

A sentimental drama, written by Nuzzo himself with Giovanni Mazzitelli, “Come Romeo and Juliet” is freely inspired by the extraordinary life of Federica Paganelli, one of the first girls in the world to live for over 20 years with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) or Werdnig-Hoffmann.

The cast is completed by Giovanna Sannino, Lia Careddu, Luciano Curreli, Valentina Sulas, Anna Gaia Sole, Federica Vecchione .
