The Ligghjendi literary festival returns to Santa Teresa Gallura , with the presence, between June, July, August and the last weekend of November, of important names in contemporary fiction, cinema and journalism such as Peter Cameron, Pietro Grossi, Paolo Giordano and many others .

"In Santa Teresa, in these years, we have been lucky - says the artistic director of the festival, Flavio Soriga - to always be able to alternate popular and highly successful authors with lesser-known names that seemed to us, the organizers, to have something important to say. Never before has the festival seemed to me to offer such a large number of opportunities for discussion and storytelling for any type of audience . We believe that Ligghjendi has something unique to characterize it: the extraordinary place that hosts it and the community of readers that animates it".

For her part , the mayor, Nadia Matta, recalls that «the idea of the Festival was born from the desire to bring culture out of traditional places, making it accessible to all . We wanted to create an opportunity for readers, authors and citizens to meet, in live and participatory public spaces. Reading is a powerful tool for individual and collective growth, and this event wants to celebrate it in all its forms», concludes the mayor.

" We are delighted to be able to open the 2025 edition with the presence of one of the greatest living writers, Peter Cameron ," says Flavio Soriga. "Like all profoundly literary authors, it is difficult to say what Cameron writes about, if not life, its mystery, the challenges and defeats that all of us, in New York as in Gallura, have to deal with."
