The incident allegedly occurred after his concert on the grounds of the Isle of Wight Festival but no further information was disclosed.
The former Oasis last Thursday was expected to launch the documentary film on the two concerts held by the group in 1996, when the Gallagher brothers were at the height of their success, but did not show up, leaving Noel alone.
