Desirée Salvador , from Samassi , a fourth year student at the Ipsia "Meucci" institute in Cagliari , won the regional final of the national award dedicated to Giacomo Leopardi, now in its fifth edition.

A great lover of Italian literature, Desirée will participate in the final scheduled for June 1st in Recanati and will represent the whole of Sardinia at the literary prize. For the occasion she will be accompanied by the literature teacher Caterina Olla .

The regional tests of the competition were examined by the Sardinian regional jury made up of teachers Gian Luigi Pittau (president of the commission and teacher of literature at the artistic and musical high school "Foiso Fois" in Cagliari), Maria Luisa Pani and Maria Luisa Brodu.

"For our school - explains the head teacher of Meucci, Daniela Diomedi - it is a result of great prestige and also in our institute space is given to the humanistic training of our students, which adds to the importance of the disciplines. this goal ".
