The appointment of local health authority general managers is still open, but Alessandra Todde aims to close the matter on December 31st with a council meeting to be held in the late morning.

During a majority meeting at Villa Devoto this evening, the regional president explained to the Campo Largo secretaries the legal opinion she had requested from the Cerulli Irelli firm regarding the advisability of proceeding with new appointments despite the law on commissioners rejected by the Constitutional Court.

The opinion is considered favorable to the Region's position because it denies the right of the former dismissed directors (and replaced by commissioners) to be reinstated. No one, except Flavio Sensi of the Sassari Local Health Authority, has appealed within the legally required timeframe. At this point, if the Regional Council does not deem it appropriate to reinstate the former directors, it will urgently need to appoint new ones, the study states. Urgently, by the end of 2025. And there's a reason for this: the exemption from tax liability provided for by the 2020 Simplification Decree expires on the 31st.

The opinion didn't convince everyone. Not the Democratic Party, which had already withdrawn from signing the resolution for the commissioners. The Democrats also asked their (Roman) lawyers to work on the case. The majority will meet again for further discussion, including on the names of the new directors. The council will follow suit.
