Two and a half months after it reached the committees, the Regional Council approved the bill on Areas suitable for the installation of renewable energy systems with 35 yes votes and 14 no votes .
"A law that gives us rules," said the president of the Region Alessandra Todde in her closing speech, "and allows us to say to those who arrive in Sardinia: here it can be done and here it cannot." Then, she added: "Whether the law needs to be adjusted, we will see this over time."
The governor also underlined that «this is the first law in Italy on energy transition and for once Sardinia is not at the bottom of the list».
The protest of the Pratobello committees:
FdI group leader Paolo Truzzu is critical: the bill gets the green light "due to a sense of responsibility on the part of the opposition that opened because the majority was desperate". But he also highlighted that "the lack of discussion of Pratobello 24 is the cause of a social fracture within the communities for which the president is responsible". Furthermore, "the bill has a flaw: it is linked to the Draghi decree".
Gigi Piano spoke for the Democratic Party, speaking of "a lively debate that demonstrates the legitimate concerns of the Sardinians that we have listened to", and underlining "a spirit of collaboration between factions that we hope will be the standard for facing future challenges".
For Umberto Ticca of the Reformers, "the bill is ineffective because it was impossible to modify its regulatory framework, as it is linked to the Draghi decree of 2021. This law is destined to be challenged". Roberto Li Gioi of the M5S spoke of an identity law that protects against speculators: it was an arduous task that saw us move forward decisively despite the obstacles".
