Maestro Luigi Lai has been awarded the Rotary Club Quartu Sant'Elena's Mores Prize. This prestigious recognition is awarded annually to an individual (or group) who has distinguished themselves through initiatives of significant impact, such as the creation of cultural and social projects benefiting the Sardinian community. This time, the choice fell on the ninety-year-old launeddas maestro. The awards ceremony, held in Cagliari a few days ago, began with an introduction by director Gianfranco Cabiddu, who accompanied and mentored Maestro Lai for a decade and dedicated a film to him, "Sa Maistu," which sensitively recounts his artistic and human story. The film also won the Bit&st (Bari International Film & TV Festival) international festival in Bari.
The Mores Award was presented by Luisella Cardia, President of the Rotary Club of Quartu Sant'Elena, in the presence of club members and numerous guests.
