Kersonesus & Affari, the doubling of the shovels
In the first quarter of 2023, half of the shovels from the last three years were presented to the Ministry of Ecological TransitionPer restare aggiornato entra nel nostro canale Whatsapp
The last outpost is Kersonesus. In military maps, as well as in those of the ancient lands, that promontory has always been an exclusive proscenium, between Teulada and Domus de Maria, between simulated warfare with real bombs and enchanted nature. When the protocol of the ministry, now transformed into that of "Energy Security", records the entry of those cards it is March 27 in the year 2023, the "second" since the Russian assault on Ukraine. The project, complete with oil seals, is the last landing of the new wind colonizers in Sardinia. A project that seems to invoke a boundless challenge between those who are candidates to occupy the sea in front of Tuerredda and Cala Zafferano and those who, on the other hand, want to sight it with the sound of cyclopean wind turbines driven directly into the promontory behind Teulada. The last border of the wind invasion in the south of the island does not pose problems of landscape, it simply doesn't care about that goodness.
From Teulada to Sarroch
The audacity of the project is scattered along the coast, from Teulada to Pula, passing through Domus de Maria, up to Settimo San Pietro and Sarroch. A non-random landing, given that the red thread that unites wind and oil has a common denominator, the Saras oil company, the Moratti company that has always colonized the Golfo degli Angeli with chimneys and stills. The project is only the latest of those presented in the first quarter of this year. The IT archive of energy-renewable projects to be approved, or rejected, on the basis of the "extraordinary" procedures of the Pnrr, records it without a fight, that national resilience and recovery plan that makes the Italian public finances suffer so much in the throes of announced bankruptcies and consumed. The name of the project is not an invention: “Kersonesus”.
Military maps
The maps of history and that of geographical toponyms tell it, it is "Chersonesum Promontorium", or the promontory of the primary "urban" location of Teulada, behind the ancient isthmus of Capo Teulada, since the Nuragic era a military garrison of the exclusive bays of Cala Piombo and Porto Zafferano. The papers deposited in the palaces of Rome are for the moment top secret, the wording reads "administrative verification", but they will soon appear in all their forms, from landscape assessments to alms destined for the Municipalities that are custodians of so many steel skyscrapers enclosed in own territorial borders. However, the proponents, extension and electrical power of this last attack on the south coast of the island are known.
The climb of Saras
The signature at the bottom is from the wind arm of Saras, Sardaeolica, the srl of the Moratti group which aims to rage on the peaks above Lula's Einstein Telescope, passing through the "Tacchi d'Ogliastra" and now directly on the most famous coast of the South of the island, the one that goes from Pula to Teulada. That oil scar imprinted for life on the proscenium of the Golfo degli Angeli was not enough for him, now the black gold multinational wants to colonize even the remaining coast with wind turbines, with seven gigantic turbines of 6.2 megawatts each of power, the largest available on the terrestrial market, for a total of 43.4 megawatts, to be placed along the main stages of the path of S. Efis.
Slap to S. Efis
In spite of the vaunted environmental sensitivity, the new intervention is a violent slap in the face of an area that until now has had no wind turbines, distinguished not only by a great naturalistic value, but also by an excellent agricultural vocation, together with a primacy five-star tourist. Nothing to do, for Saras it is more important to collect some other millionaire state incentive in favor of this wind offensive rather than safeguarding the environment and landscape.
Burning oil
However, the project of the multinational from Sarroch is not the only audacity of the Moratti family. In this first "quarterly" of 2023 as regards the wind projects presented in Sardinia, just seven days before "Kersonesus", also presented by Saras, appears "Astìa", the wind power plant to be placed on the peaks around Villamassargia and Musei , at the gates of the Iglesiente, as if by now there were no more borders, thrown down by the greed of wind and shovels.
Pale in S'Ortu Mannu
The positioning of the new wind turbines, apparently with a devastating intention, is envisaged in a place that has always been considered inviolable, between the naturalistic oasis of S'Ortu Mannu, with a heritage of millenary olive trees unique in the Mediterranean, the Castello della Gioiosa Guardia and the Orbai Mine with its remains transformed into a tourist site. Yet, the project, this time already viewable, doesn't worry about the environment, nature and protected sites in the slightest. For Saras, only one rule applies: first of all, spin shovels and incentives, it doesn't matter if we are dealing with safeguarded and protected assets. In this case, towering over those peaks will be seven wind turbines as impressive as they are invasive, visible according to the algorithms of visual perception from every corner of the Iglesiente, with seven skyscrapers of at least sixty floors each stuck on the ridges of the mountains close to the inhabited centres.
New 172 blades in three months
The energy security protocol, that of the ministry of incentives galore, did not stop for a moment in the first quarter of this year. For Sardinia it is an unstoppable wind invasion with the primates following one another without respite. Almost as if it were a stock market takeover, the “first quarterly” of the projects already presented on the island since the beginning of the year has already reached unthinkable levels. In just three months, projects were presented for 172 new blades, for a power of no less than 1,151 megawatts.
25 million inhabitants
The comparison is easy to make: in these first ninety days of 2023 projects equal to 80% of what has already been established in Sardinia in the last 20 years have been presented. A figure that says a lot about the assault from land and sea on the Nuraghi Island. In the last two years and three months, from 2020 to today, wind power projects have been filed in the Rome offices which plan to drive as many as 528 new blades into the peaks of Sardinia with an energy power forecast of 3,264 megawatts, more than double that of wind power already available, and above all more than double that which would be needed to replace that generated with the coal-fired plants of Portovesme and Porto Torres. This is wind energy which, according to a conservative estimate, could supply electricity to over 4 million citizens. An enormity to which must be added what the wind turbines that the lords of the wind would like to place in the middle of the sea of the island should produce. With a downward calculation, we would arrive at a production of wind energy for 25 million inhabitants. A fact that alone explains the madness of this mad race, illogical and blinded by the billionaire incentives that revolve around this operation. An unbridled race for Sardinian wind and state money.
