Juventus-Cagliari saw the first half end 1-0. In the round of 16 of the Coppa Italia, Vlahović scored, after the rossoblù had held the field well.

The first half
Thirty-eight seconds and Cagliari could score on the first play: Zortea breaks through on the right (where McKennie is the adapted full-back), low cross and in the center of the area Lapadula turns with Di Gregorio who works a miracle with his foot . The rossoblù try to shoot three times in the same play: the first two, by Deiola and Prati, are blocked by the black and white defense, the last one by Marin is wide.
Juventus made their mark in the 13th minute with an almost casual move, Koopmeiners tried to shoot and a rebound favoured Vlahović whose left-footed shot went wide. Shortly after half-time, Savona and Conceição both shot wide, the latter going just wide to the right of Scuffet's goal. He made a noteworthy save in the 36th minute, on a shot from the edge of the area again by Conceição which went out for a corner .
The opening goal came in the 44th minute: Vlahović received the ball in the area from Yıldız with his back to the goal, turned to Wieteska and crossed with his left foot with a rebound off the post before going into the net .
