"For an island judicial district" is the theme of the two-day event held in Cagliari on Friday 14 and Saturday 15 April in the Giorgio Pisano hall, in L'Unione Sarda square, with live streaming also on the UnioneSarda.it website.

On Friday, from 3 to 7 pm, the meeting was opened by Sergio Zuncheddu, editor of the editorial group L'Unione Sarda, together with Maria Antonietta Mongiu, president of the Technical Scientific Committee Insularity in the Constitution.

Introduction by Giuseppe de Matteis, prefect of Cagliari; Gianmario Demuro representing Francesco Mola, rector of the University of Cagliari.

In the first session, dedicated to "Geography of justice and territorial organization", introduction by Cristina Ornano, president of the Surveillance Court of Cagliari. Speakers were: Luigi Patronaggio, Attorney General of the Court of Appeal of Cagliari; Rodolfo Sabelli, Prosecutor of the Republic of the Cagliari court; Vincenzo Amato, president of the court of Cagliari; Matteo Pinna, president of the Cagliari Bar Association; Fiorella Pilato, former magistrate and member of the CSM; Gianmario Demuro, Full Professor of Constitutional Law at the University of Cagliari.

For the second session, "The cost of justice in Sardinia", after the introduction of Rita Dedola, lawyer and former president of the Cagliari Bar Association, the following spoke: Michele Incani, Deputy Attorney General of the Court of Appeal of Cagliari; Giorgio Latti, civil judge of the court of Cagliari; Gianni Caria, public prosecutor of the court of Sassari; Priamo Siotto, former president of the Nuoro bar association and national forensic adviser; Simona Franzecco, secretary of the Chamber of Labor of Cagliari; Alessandro Castello, judge of the Court of Appeal of Cagliari.

SECOND DAY – Saturday 15 April the III session, starting from 9 and ending at 13. On the theme “Prisons in Sardinia: prison servitude or places of implementation of re-education according to art. 27 of the Constitution?”, introduction by Mauro Mura, former Prosecutor of the Cagliari court.

The following took part: Carlo Renoldi, magistrate of Cassation, former head of the Dap; Alessandra Uscidda, regional commander of the prison police unit at Uiepe; Marco Porcu, director of the Cagliari-Uta prison; Leonardo Tondo, psychiatrist, Cagliari; Giovanna Serra, lawyer - guarantor of the Nuoro court detainees; Cristina Cabras, delegate of the Rector for the prison University of Cagliari; Nicola Migheli, sociologist, Cagliari.

In the fourth session on "The agricultural colonies of Sardinia a concrete alternative", introduction by Alessandro Atzeni, commander of the Isili prison department.

Speeches by: Franco Masala, architectural historian; Enrico Trogu, director of the State Archives of Cagliari; Gilberto Ganassi, substitute of the Republic of the court of Cagliari; Michelina Masia, professor of Sociology of Law, University of Cagliari; Don Ettore Cannavera, La Collina Community; Ugo Bressanello, president of Domus de Luna; Maria Antonietta Atzori, Duke of Abruzzi Cagliari-Elmas manager; Antonella De Sanctis, national coordinator of First Cisl Bank of Italy and independent Authorities.
