Jazz permeated with swing and bossa nova. The new appointment with "Wednesdays at the Conservatory" offers the Reflections concert the day after tomorrow in the Sassu room in Sassari at 7 pm. Entry is free and open.

The quartet was born among the benches of the “Canepa” Conservatory and brings together Silvia Ruiu (voice), Raffaele Puglia (piano), Sebastiano Dessanay (double bass) and Marco Cattari (drums). Founded last year, the band already has several participations in events organized in various clubs in Sassari.

The program includes the songs Chega de saudade , one of the most famous composed by the Brazilian Antonio Carlos Jobim, Embreceable you by George Gershwin, made famous by great performers such as Ella Fitzgerald, Charlie Parker and Miles Davis, and Stompin' at the Savoy , written and arranged by Edgar Sampson and brought to success by Benny Goodman, and All or nothing at all by Arthur Altman, the first song ever recorded by Frank Sinatra.

The setlist also includes popular songs from different eras such as Love and broken hearts by trumpeter Wynton Marsalis, Day by day by Alex Stordahl, My heart stood still by Richard Rodgers and Steppin' out by Joe Jackson. Some pieces written by the band members themselves will also be performed, Laying all my cards by Silvia Ruiu and Step Aside by Raffaele Puglia.
