Ittiri Folk Festa, great success for the musical parade
Launeddas and ballu tundu merged with Molise dances, haka and Andean sounds in an exciting show
A day among the trumpets and drums of the Sartiglia of Oristano and the haka of the Maori, passing from the ballu tundu of the Sardinian groups, the Molise dances, the Andean sounds, the accordion and the launeddas, with the addition of the Messa dei Popoli in the Church of San Pietro.
A real success for the most awaited day of the 38th edition of the Ittiri Folk Festa. As usual, the large group of trumpets and drums Sa Sartiglia from Oristano opened the parade. Immediately after the home group, Ittiri Cannedu who, in the name of hospitality and inclusion, also paraded some special guests and of course girls and boys. The Andean sounds of Ecuador and the energy of Senegal.
There was also space for the Nostra sennora 'e Itri group from Maracalagonis and for the San Pedro Sula group from Honduras. The traditional masks of Donna Zenobia of Macomer and the dance of the Folk Group Figulinas of Florinas were not missing. From ballu tundu to the Maori haka of the Taumata Whitireia group of New Zealand and then the pagan rite of sa Vargia de Oniferi.
The "Zig-Zaghini" group proposed the different Molise dances, including one that sees women use a sieve. Oristano made an encore with the Folk Group. Immediately after the asociacion "Sentymiento y Tradicione" of Peru with the feathered headdresses of men, but also small skulls and animal skins. Journey into the Middle Ages thanks to the medieval arms company of Sanluri and more Sardinian masks, those of the Sonaggiaos and S'urzu of Ortueri. The very young dancers of Georgia with the stark contrast between the black and red of the men and the pink background dress of the women. Tomorrow the grand finale is scheduled with “Musumundu in Thiesi” in collaboration with Su Consonnu Santu Juanne de Thiesi, with the show proposed by Peru, Georgia, Ecuador, Molise and Sardinia.
