A severe blow to local drug trafficking: Varese police this morning executed numerous precautionary warrants against individuals believed to be responsible for drug trafficking, extortion, and illegal possession of weapons.
Among those arrested is also a well-known name in the trap music scene, the frontman of a local band with a large following in the Milan area.
According to investigators' reconstruction, the singer not only supplied weapons, but was also the leader of a group of drug dealers active in some wooded areas of the area.
The operation, dubbed "Note Stonate" , was coordinated by the Public Prosecutor's Office at the Court of Varese and is the result of an investigation conducted by officers from the Police Headquarters' Flying Squad.
The investigations began with intense monitoring activity in a wooded area in the municipality of Malnate , already reported for the presence of a "drug dealing square" managed by three men of North African origin.
The agents, using drones, night vision goggles and thermal cameras, managed in just a few days to reconstruct the drug dealers' movements and locate a hidden bivouac, used as a refuge and dormitory.
The raid took place shortly after, at a particularly favorable moment when the three were separated.
The ongoing investigations are revealing a larger and more structured criminal network, with ties to the trap music world and a strong presence in drug trafficking networks between Varese and Milan.
