A safety investigation was ordered into the accident that took place in Ponteventuno, in the area of Curtatone (Mantua) where, not far from an airfield, an ultralight aircraft crashed to the ground during landing.

One person died, three were injured , one seriously.

From what has emerged so far, the four - two men and two women residing in the province of Verona - had rented the Cessna 172M and were returning . It is not clear what happened, all the investigations by the National Flight Safety Agency have started.

The 118 personnel, the carabinieri and the fire brigade intervened on the spot.
