Two other workers lost their lives in Italy today.

A man died in Lanciano (Chieti) in an accident inside a construction site set up for the construction of a gas pipeline.

According to an initial reconstruction of the facts, the worker, a 37-year-old Sicilian, went down into an excavation to carry out some checks, when a wall gave way and literally collapsed on him.

On the spot the Fire Brigade, staff of the labor inspectorate of the ASL and the Police, who investigate the matter on which the Public Prosecutor of Lanciano has opened a file.

The other tragedy occurred in Santa Croce sull'Arno (Pisa), in a company that sells building materials and hardware for building sites in via del Bosco. The firefighters, the carabinieri and the 118 health workers intervened on the spot.

The victim is a 47-year-old man. The dynamics are still to be ascertained but, according to initial reconstructions, the worker, when the accident occurred, was maneuvering with the vehicle, a special tracked vehicle and, by reversing, there would have been a collision with a pillar of the industrial warehouse. The impact caused immediate death.
