There has been an arrest for the murder of Pierina Paganelli, the 78-year-old killed on the night of October 3rd in the garage of her home in Rimini, with 29 stab wounds.
The one who ended up in handcuffs was Louis Dassilva, a 34-year-old Senegalese and the only suspect, lover of Manuela Bianchi, the victim's daughter-in-law. The old woman's body was found the day after the crime by her daughter-in-law. The man, who had been caught on camera, apparently acted out of fear that the relationship would be discovered.
Dassilva was questioned last June 25 in the Prosecutor's Office by the deputy prosecutor Paci in the presence of the defender Riario Fabbri and the consultant Roberta Bruzzone. On that occasion, unlike what was expected, Dassilva had not made use of the right not to answer, confirming what had already been said in the first interrogations.
Searches have been underway at Louis Dassilva's home since the early hours of this morning.
