The Trieste mayoral candidate of the 3V Movement, Ugo Rossi, ended up in handcuffs for outrage and resistance to a public official and aggravated injuries, after the riots recorded this morning outside a post office.

At the end of the formalities in the barracks, he fell ill and was taken to the hospital in Cattinara. House arrest have been arranged for him.

According to an initial reconstruction, the intervention of the carbinieri of the Guardiella station was requested after the reporting of some problems between the office workers and two people who refused to wear the mask correctly inside the premises.

On the spot the men of the weapon also found Rossi, who arrived in support of the two users.

Asked to produce a document, the mayoral candidate refused and resisted, which culminated in a physical confrontation. Two soldiers were injured and were transported to the emergency room in Cattinara.

The candidate was loaded with difficulty into a car and taken to the Via Hermet barracks, where he was declared under arrest for outrage and resistance to a public official and aggravated injuries.
