The jockey from Nurri, who just a few days ago won the Palio dell'Assunta, suffered a fractured rib and a damaged cervical vertebra, which will require him to wear a neck brace.

Giovanni is in good health, continuing to be monitored by his medical team, surrounded by the affection of his loved ones—his wife and son, as well as the rest of his family who traveled from Sardinia to celebrate this latest success with him.
