A man and a woman of Kosovar origin arrested on suspicion of having trained to organize in Italy an attack in the name of the Islamic State jihadist group.
The two were stopped by the carabinieri of the Ros and of the Gis (Special Intervention Group) last June 15, at the disposal of the Trento Public Prosecutor's Office . The news only leaked today.
From what is learned, the suspects must precisely answer for association with the purpose of terrorism.
Only for the man, the Gip ordered the measure of pre-trial detention under house arrest , with the obligation of an electronic bracelet.
From the investigative activities it emerged that the two young people, born in Italy from families of Kosovar origin and inserted in the social, work and study context , have long since embarked on a path of radicalization made possible and effective by jihadist propaganda on the web.
After committing the attack, with the preparation of explosive devices , the two were supposed to go to Africa to join the Islamist terrorist organization.
