As in American films, they had forged their identity documents in order to be of age and consume alcohol in the clubs.

But during a check by the local police the ploy was discovered and now they are in trouble.

These are two 16-year-old girls from Bordighera (Imperia), who, together with another very young friend, suspected of having helped them alter documents, will have to answer to the Genoa prosecutor's office for the crime of counterfeiting state symbols and forgery in public deed.

For the girls – explains Il Secolo XIX reporting the news – however, there is the risk of further disputes as the agents suspect that the system adopted to forge identity documents may have also been used by other peers.

On the other hand, there was no risk for the bartender who sold the alcohol to the two minors: he had asked for the document which showed that both were of age.

The very young admitted the forgery while their parents tried to defend them by speaking of a "simple girl".
