The event that took place in Specchia, in Salento, last May, when a young wedding witness harassed the bride during the reception, sparking a maxi-brawl, caused a sensation.

Then the woman's complaint was triggered and now the Lecce court, through the voice of judge Michele Toriello, has issued its sentence.

The witness - 26 years old - was sentenced with an abbreviated sentence to one year and 8 months for sexual violence. Not only that: in civil proceedings he will also have to compensate the spouses.

According to a reconstruction of what happened, the 26-year-old, when the banquet was drawing to a close and the guests were drinking at the restaurant bar, stroked the woman's breast several times and rubbed against her. Then chaos broke out: a general confusion, which was also immortalized by the smartphones of some participants, then ending up on the web.

Other members of the various families also participated in the fight, who attended what should have been a party, but which instead turned into something else. On the occasion, the accused's brother was also injured, a circumstance on which investigations are still ongoing.
