Life imprisonment . It is the sentence imposed on Yassine Erroum , the man of Moroccan origin who on June 12, 2021, in Castelnuovo Magra (La Spezia) attacked and killed his wife Alessandra Piga, 25 years old from Maracalagonis.
The crime had occurred during a dispute that broke out in the 31-year-old's house. Piga had gone to her husband, from whom she had decided to separate, to ask him for 200 euros for the maintenance of their little son. The request enraged Erroum who took a knife from the kitchen and stabbed the 25-year-old to death.
After killing Piga, the man also tried to take his own life. Then the arrest and the trial, which ended yesterday with the sentence never ending.
Sentence against which the 31-year-old, through his lawyer Riccardo Balatri, announced an appeal.
