The lifeless bodies of two women were found shortly before 1:00 a.m. this morning at a construction site in Pollena Trocchia, in the Naples area.
Carabinieri officers from the Torre del Greco operations unit and soldiers from Cercola arrived at the scene of the discovery on Viale Italia. The bodies of the two women—still unidentified—were on the basement floor of the building under construction and appear to have fallen from two different elevator floors.
The forensic investigations section of the Torre Annunziata investigative unit is also working on the site. A comprehensive investigation is underway, and suicide appears unlikely. Investigators are instead leaning toward a double homicide.
The victims could be two prostitutes, probably foreigners.
