The victim this time is a 42-year-old bricklayer, Benito Branca. The man was renovating a building in Mesagne, in the Brindisi area.
While he was on the sidewalk, the scaffolding, the balcony and part of the attic collapsed, the rubble of which crushed him without leaving him a way out.
The failure occurred at around 12, while maintenance work on the building was in progress.
In a few moments, a pile of rubble was created: those present began to dig with their bare hands, but it was all useless for the 42-year-old.
The victim owned a sole proprietorship. The firefighters, 118 staff and the investigators of the Spesal of the Brindisi ASL intervened on the spot.
