Summer is coming to an end. A cyclone is coming from Greenland, which will mark the end of the heat and sunny days.

Lorenzo Tedici, meteorologist for the website iLMeteo.it, announced it. «In the next two days – he explains – a general worsening of the weather is expected across Italy with more frequent thunderstorms and a slight drop in temperatures especially in the North. From Thursday 5th until at least September 12th a cold drop, that is a cyclonic vortex at high altitude that has isolated itself from a larger low pressure area, will hit the peninsula bringing bad weather and decreeing the end of summer. In the next few hours, we will still have remnants of African heat: in the South the mercury column will mark 35-37°C in Sicily and Sardinia ».

"However, scattered thunderstorms are expected, more likely in the morning in the South and in Sardinia, then in the Alps, Apennines and Piedmont, in a context that is gradually becoming less warm. From tomorrow we will find some more thunderstorms in the center-north."

"From Thursday 5 September everything will change. The Greenlandic perturbation - explains Tedici - will arrive decisively and violently on Italy. The clash between the maritime polar air and the boiling Mediterranean Sea will cause intense phenomena, first in the North and in Sardinia then immediately towards the Tyrrhenian regions from Tuscany to Calabria. It will rain, it will be cool at times starting from the west and extending towards the southeast".
