Antonio Fortebraccio, the 48-year-old security guard who confessed to killing his wife, 46-year-old Stefania Rago, was arrested this morning on charges of voluntary homicide aggravated by marital ties and taken to prison by the Carabinieri.

The man shot her four times last night with his service pistol inside their home on Via Salvemini in Foggia. He then turned himself in to the Carabinieri barracks and confessed to the crime.

When police arrived on the scene, there was nothing they could do for the woman. The weapon was found in the couple's home. The murder reportedly occurred after a violent argument overheard by neighbors.
