The man who yesterday set fire to a building in via Cacciatori delle Alpi in Vittoria was arrested and placed under judicial police custody .
According to what has been reconstructed, the gesture was born with the intention of setting fire to the house of the ex-girlfriend who had left him . The man, who is 28 years old, was identified thanks to images from cameras in the area.
Great fear for a woman , who was on the top floor of the building and who, due to the smoke and flames in the stairwell, was unable to get out: a police station manager, Giovanni Digiacomo, who is entered and managed to rescue her together with the firefighters via an external fire brigade ladder.
Tracked down by the police, the 28-year-old was taken to the police station late in the evening and subjected to judicial police custody . During the night he was transferred to Ragusa prison, at the disposal of the magistrate.
