Four years in prison . This is the sentence decided today by the monocratic judge of Lecco, Giulia Barazzetta, against Veaceslav Florea , the thirty-year-old of Moldovan nationality who in the night between 2 and 3 February 2017 had been involved in the chase that cost the life of the chosen agent of the Traffic police , Francesco Pischedda , along the highway 36 in the province of Lecco.
Traces of the man were lost in 2019, the year in which he was released from prison in Austria.
In detail, the sentence consists of one year and four months for the crime of receiving stolen goods, having been found, together with two compatriots, aboard a stolen van, and then two years and eight months for the crime of resisting a public official, aggravated by the fact that his escape on foot had led to the death of the agent Pischedda, a native of Bosa , who fell from an overpass in an attempt to arrest him.
